PCO Approved

During 2008, CabCard gained approvals from Transport for London Public Carriage Office (PCO) allowing deployment of their secure, mobile card payment systems and terminal hardware for use in London Taxis. The PCO have also approved Cab signage that is displayed on and in London Cabs informing the public of the ‘on board’ chip & PIN payment facilities available.

The PCO is respected by all regional Taxi Licensing Authorities as the authoritative licensing organisation in the UK. As such many UK Licensing Authorities have accepted the PCO approval as sufficient for their own local requirements.

Taxi Drivers and members of the Public can have the added confidence that CabCard’s mobile payment processing systems are fully UK Bank accredited for the acceptance and processing of credit and debit cards.
