PCO Approved

Since 2008, CabCard has had approval from Transport for London Public Carriage Office (PCO) allowing deployment of their secure, mobile card payment systems and terminal hardware for use in all London taxis. The PCO has also approved Cab signage that can be displayed on and in London cabs informing the public of the ‘on board’ chip & PIN payment facilities available.

The PCO is respected by all regional Taxi Licensing Authorities as the authoritative licensing organisation in the UK. As such, many UK Licensing Authorities have accepted the PCO approval as sufficient for their own local requirements.

Taxi drivers and members of the public can have the added confidence that CabCard’s mobile payment processing systems are also fully UK bank accredited for the acceptance and processing of credit and debit cards using chip & PIN.
